The Males Place

Mshauri of The Nubian Kingdom

Mshauri Terrence has been a dedicated mentor, leader, and Elder with The Males Place since the spring of 2025. He brings both professional excellence and personal devotion to guiding young Black men toward manhood, blending his background in education with his passion for mentorship and community service.

Originally from Brooklyn, New York, Terrence studied at Hampton University, earned a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from UNC Charlotte, and a Master of Arts in Secondary Teaching & Education. He has taught mathematics at both middle and high schools in Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools and served as a full-time lecturer at UNC Charlotte. His work extends to the Launch Years Math Organization Leadership Network, where he helps redesign pathways from high school to college, focusing on equity, access, and student success.

At The Males Place, Terrence’s role as Mshauri reflects his belief in truth, accountability, and cultural awareness. He mentors Warriors with patience, high expectations, and encouragement, ensuring they gain not only academic skills but also a strong sense of identity, confidence, and responsibility to their community. His warm spirit, discipline, and generosity enrich the lives of all those he guides.

Outside of teaching and mentoring, Terrence enjoys time with family and friends, self-development reading, and a commitment to physical and nutritional health living the principles he encourages others to follow.

Through his work, Mshauri Terrence ensures that every Warrior he touches carries forward the values of knowledge, resilience, and purpose. He is guided by the words of Nelson Mandela:

“Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.”
